Astro Boy, also known as Mighty Atom, is the titular character of the popular anime and manga series created by Osamu Tezuka. Astro Boy first appeared in the manga *Atomu Taishi* (Ambassador Atom) in 1951. Later, he starred in the anime series *Astro Boy* in 1963.

Astro Boy is a powerful android created by Dr. Tenma, the head of the Ministry of Science. Dr. Tenma created Astro Boy to replace his deceased son, Tobio. However, Dr. Tenma sold Astro Boy to a cruel circus owner after realizing the robot could not fill the void of his lost son.

Professor Ochanomizu later rescues Astro Boy and becomes his guardian. Professor Ochanomizu recognizes Astro Boy's potential as a hero. Equipped with superhuman strength, flight capabilities, and various weapons, Astro Boy dedicates his life to fighting injustice and protecting humanity from threats, both human and robotic. He serves as an ambassador between humans and robots, often advocating for peace and understanding.
